General Information

Curriculum
  • McGraw-Hill Everyday Mathematics series
​Foundations of EDM:
  • Problem solving approach based on everyday situations
  • Instructional approach that revisits concepts regularly
  • Frequent practice of basic skill, often through games
  • Lessons based on activities and discussion, not textbook

Note:  It is important to remember that fifth graders need to master their multiplication and division facts.**

Homework Expectations

Students will have homework every night. It will be posted on Google Classroom. I will be checking homework every morning.  If your child does not do their homework consistently then you will be contacted through the planner and email. 

Retaking Test

Students can retake the portions of the test that they got wrong. They will do test corrections in class and will have small group re-teaching of missed concepts. Then students will retake the test. Retakes are for students who score a 2, 1, or 0 on the test.
