Last Full Week of the First Trimester is Done!

Hello, Parents!

The first trimester is coming to an end! All grades should be in by Tuesday, November 21st. 

Also, we are finishing up our Novel Study on Restart. If your student missed any book chapters, I have posted them in a Google Doc on our Google Classroom. Please ensure your student is all set to turn that in on Monday. 

For math retakes, we will do it on Tuesday, November 21st. The students who are retaking please take the weekend to do test corrections.

Here are some announcements for next week:

The Canned Food Drive is coming up. Please start collecting canned food items and nonperishable items. My class won it last year, and I would love to continue the tradition with this class! 

Thanksgiving Break - Wednesday, November 22nd to Monday, November 27th. Return to school on Tuesday, November 28th.

Students need to wear their ID cards and DOG tags every day. They are allowed to keep them here at school. This protocol is essential since Maltby is so big that if all students have their cards and tags on them, we can identify them in passing times. 

Planners: Please sign the planner for Friday!
Math: Students need to know their multiplication facts! Please practice at home! Please go onto Google Classroom for all the Unit 2 resources, including the family letter, homelinks, all lesson videos, and additional videos to help at home. 
Reading/Writing: We are working through his Figurative Langauge Unit. Please use Google Classroom as a guide if you are absent. AR points were due today! 
Science: We will be starting our new Unit after break. 

Homework: Idiom Worksheet, Division Practice sheet, read for 20 minutes, and fill out the reading log.
