Hello Parents,
Oh my goodness, I am in awe of the hard work that the students did to throw an epic bridal shower for me! This class is special to me as I end my last school year with my maiden name. Thank you to all the parents that helped make this happen! Also, thank you so much for the gift. My fiance and I greatly appreciate your generosity as we start this new chapter of our lives together. We are officially 12 school days away from Summer. Students are working hard this week on drawing, writing, and reading. We have many fun school activities for the students to show their creativity. As a reminder, Spring and Summer's clothing is here, so please ensure students dress appropriately for school. Planners: Please sign the planner for every day! Math: We finished Unit 6. I will grade tests throughout the week, and they will return them soon. We started Unit 7. We will still have homelinks and math boxes. The homelinks are on Google Classroom. Reading/Writing: Students finished their Argumentative papers. If absent, please look on Google Classroom to see what part of the writing process we are at, or I will catch them up when we get back. Also, please keep reading for AR! Science: We will be starting our Solar System Unit next week. All assignments will be on Google Classroom. Social Studies: Look on Mrs. Krayer’s Google Classroom for social studies for all assignments. Homework: Read for 20 minutes, and log it in the Reading Log Parent to-do list:

Science: Students took the Changes Cycle 2 test today and will turn in their comics on Monday, May 22nd. All assignments will be on Google Classroom. Goodbye April, Hello May. I can’t believe we are in the final push of the school year. The students are working hard and also having some fun as well! On Monday and Tuesday, we have our last MSTEP test, Math. If students would like to prepare, they can take practice tests at http://www.prepdog.org/5th-grade.htm Also, there are some math Google Slides on Google Practice that we started in class today if the students want to do additional practice. Spring is here, and students’ energy levels are high. Please make sure you review the school's rules and your expectations for them to finish the school year strong. Also, with Spring comes warmer weather. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for school.
