Good Afternoon Parents, Happy November! I can’t believe we are 12 school days away from Thanksgiving Break! This week we started book clubs, and the students love it! For math, we will take part of our unit test on Wednesday. So, please make sure your student is studying! For Unit 2 in math, students will work on Multiplication and Division. It is time for students to practice their multiplication facts, especially their 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 9’s, 11’s, and 12’s. Here’s a website they can do at home to practice: https://www.timestables.com/flash-cards.html. Here is some information for next week: Parents! Please go on to Parent Connect to pay for camp. If you were a chaperone your fee should be on their as well! Thank you parents for the donations for the Halloween party. Students had a great time making catapults and flying their candy corn pumpkins around at different stations. Also, students enjoyed the special treat when watching the movie. Here is a little Halloween video for you to enjoy! https://animoto.com/play/UD5Z7AOm10KVQ6hjiZ1OGA **Please read this updated information about Book Clubs** Book Clubs started this week! This book will mostly be read at school except for this weekend. Students will be reading their AR book at home if they finish their book club reading at school (which they should since we are doing book clubs in ELA. Students fill out an item on their thought box page, which will be graded for a reading grade. Sticky noting while reading will help them fill out the thought boxes. Students need 2 or 3 sticky notes. Students will take their ELA binder home every night and bring it back to school. I am very excited about book clubs, so please be cheerful at home to keep the engagement alive! Important Dates
