Working Hard for the Weekend!

Hello Parents,

This week we wrap up units in Math, Science, and Social Studies. I am very proud of the work that they have done in class! You should be too!

Remember we do have the MSTEP Social Studies on Monday and MSTEP Science on Wednesday. Please make sure students get a good night’s sleep and a breakfast in the morning, so students can try their best on the test!
On Monday, April 24th, I plan to do an Earth Day Activity with the students. I would love to give a special treat to our students, so I am asking for help from our families to donate items to make dirt cups! If you can donate items, please sign up using this link: Earth Day 2023 Donation Sign Up Please read the information for the sign-up because I will need families from both classrooms to sign up!
If your student has any allergies to the following items: chocolate pudding, Oreos, or gummy worms, please email me at vuicharda@brightonk12.com, and we can make the appropriate arrangements so that all students can enjoy the treat!

Planners: Please sign the planner for every day!
Math: We are done with Unit 5. I decided to have Test Corrections due on Monday, April 24th, and the retakes will be Friday, April 28th. 
Reading/Writing: We started our Argumentative Writing Unit. Please keep working on reading for AR points and comprehension.
Science: Science MSTEP Wednesday!
Social Studies: Look on Mrs. Krayer’s Google Classroom for social studies for all assignments.

Homework: Prepare for the by doing MSTEP Social Studies or Science Sample Items using the directions above, or do the practice Science Tests on http://www.prepdog.org/5th-grade.htm, then Read for 20 minutes, and log it in the Reading Log
